Function Syntax

number math:sqrt(number)

Template Syntax

<xsl:call-template name="math:sqrt">
   <xsl:with-param name="value" select="number" />
</xsl:call-template>

The math:sqrt function returns the square root of a number.

If the argument is a negative number, the return value is zero.

An implementation of this extension function in the EXSLT math namespace must conform to the behaviour described in this document.
